CALABRESE is an historical name in the body-builder's world.
Originally established in the '40's. It's constant up-dating and development of production and manufacturing facilities, the not always favourable market conditions, has placed the company among the world's top rated producers.

Big efforts have been devoted to demands made by truck manufacturers and clients even anticipating, in some cases, their needs and presenting innovations on the market.
Reasons for which, over eighty percent of its total production is presently exported and its network, also outside the Italian borders, is constantly spreading.

Various type of arrangements have been established in different countries in connection with local needs and possibilities offered: in some places licence and know-how transfer agreements have been reached (with or without a direct involvement in the share capital) and some of the CALABRESE-named products are now manufactured in those countries, covering local transport needs.

Elsewhere, differently articulated sales and/or representation agreements have been stipulated which allow CALABRESE to assume a first class support to his clients in selecting a most suitable product to match their specific transport needs, or in organising their vehicle’s fleet, or spare parts handling and, most important, in ensuring an efficient after-sale service.

The products manufactured by CALABRESE are basically the following:

- Push-plate and rotary drum solid waste compactors in various sizes;
- Road and airport run-way suction sweepers;
- Cess-pit emptiers;
- Sewer cleaners;
- Combined cess-pit and sewer cleaning bodies;
- Special transfer station semi-trailers with top or back loading systems;
- Truck and trailer mounted dump bodies;
- General cargo semitrailers;
- Truck and trailer mounted tanks for transporting different liquids.
 

The main plants is located in Bari over an area of nearly 250,000 square meters (70,000 of which are covered) where is Head Office and Administration are based.

Il marchio CALABRESE ha un ruolo storico nel mondo dei carrozzieri.
La società originaria fu costituita negli anni ’40 ed i costanti aggiornamenti tecnologici e delle strutture produttive, nonostante condizioni di mercato non sempre favorevoli, l’hanno sempre posta tra i più stimati costruttori mondiali.

Grandi energie sono sempre state destinate alle esigenze delle case costruttrici automobilistiche e della clientela anche, in taluni casi, anticipando le stesse e presentando sul mercato soluzioni assolutamente innovative.
E’ per questa ragione che oltre l’ottanta per cento della produzione è al momento esportata e che la rete commerciale della società è in costante crescita anche al di fuori dei confini nazionali.

Intese di diverso tipo sono state raggiunte in vari paesi tenendo conto delle diverse opportunità offerte dai singoli mercati: in taluni casi sono anche stati realizzati accordi che hanno previsto la cessione della licenza e del know-how (con o senza la diretta partecipazione nel capitale societario) in base ai quali alcuni dei prodotti con marchio CALABRESE sono ora costruiti anche all’estero al fine di meglio rispondere a specifiche esigenze locali.

Altrove, sono stati stipulati accordi di agenzia e/o di rappresentazione commerciale che hanno consentito alla CALABRESE di poter assicurare un adeguato supporto alla propria clientela nella scelta dei prodotti più idonei a soddisfare le specifiche esigenze di trasporto, la corretta gestione della flotta, una razionale organizzazione dello stock di ricambi ed, in primo luogo, un efficiente servizio assistenziale.

I principali prodotti realizzati dalla CALABRESE sono i seguenti:

- Compattatori a piastra o a tamburo rotante in diverse capacità;
- Spazzatrici aspiranti sia stradali sia aeroportuali;
- Spurgo pozzi neri;
- Pulitura canali a getto d’acqua;
- Attrezzature combinate per spurgo pozzi neri e pulitura canali;
- Lavacassonetti ad acqua fredda o calda;
- Semirimorchi speciali per stazioni di trasferimento con carico dall’alto o posteriore;
- Ribaltabili per motrici o rimorchi/semirimorchi;
- Rimorchi e semirimorchi per merci varie;
- Cisterne per motrici o rimorchi/semirimorchi per il trasporto di vari liquidi.
 

Lo stabilimento centrale è a Bari e si estende su di una superficie di circa 250.000 metri quadrati di cui 70.000 sono coperti.
